ZOLEX
DICLAZURIL
ANTI-COCCIDIALPOULTRY
COMPOSITION:
Each 500 Gm contains:
Diclazuril 1 Gm
Excipient up to 500 Gm
MODE OF ACTION:
Although the mode of action of diclazuril is not precisely known, its effect on the asexual or sexual stages of coccidies blocks the excretion of oocysts inducing an interruption of the life cycle of the parsites.
ANTICOCCIDIAL SPECTRUM:
In chickens affect on:
Eimeria acervulina, E. brunetti, E. maxima, E. mitis, E. praecox, E. necatrix and E. tenella.
In turkeys affect on:
Eimeria adenoeides, E. meleagrimitis and E. gallopavonis.
In rabbits affect on:
Eimeria irresidua, E.media, E. flavescens, E. intestinalis, E. perforans, E. piriformis, E. stiedai, E. magna, E.exigua and E.coecicola.
in guinea fowls affect on:
Eimeria numidae and E. grenieri.
PROPERTIES:
Diclazuril is a chemical anticoccidial, a benzeneacetonitrile derivative – synthetic compound of the triazinone family.
Zolex is very stable under the influence of heat (kept stable in H2O at 100˚C) ,moisture (un changed at steam,135˚C) and not oxidized in an environment of 60˚C.
Diclazuril is active against intracellular development stages of coccidia, namely during schizogony and gametogony.
Ultrastructural findings indicate that diclazuril treatment primarily affects the normal differentiation of the respective endogenous stages during parasite development, This leads to complete degeneration of schizonts and gamonts.
Diclazuril reach the maximum plasma level after 8 hours post oral administration.
Diclazuril excreted unchanged in urine and nearly 90% in the faeces.
After diclurazil treatment, the first- and second-generation schizonts show extensive degenerative changes which are characterised by the loss of internal structure, the appearance of many intracytoplasmic vacuoles and incomplete merogony.
Diclazuril affect on: Eimeria acervulina, E. brunetti, E. maxima, E. mitis, E. praecox, E. necatrix , E. tenella, Eimeria adenoeides, E. meleagrimitis, E. gallopavonis, Eimeria irresidua, E.media, E. flavescens, E. intestinalis, E. perforans, E. piriformis, E. stiedai, E. magna, E.exigua and E.coecicola, Eimeria numidae and E. grenieri.
